Deliver is an awnless wheat released in 2004 by Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station and the USDA-ARS. Deliver's pedigree is Yantar (a Bulgarian cultivar), Chisholm and Karl.
It is a semi-dwarf variety with medium-early maturity. It has good leaf rust resistance and satisfactory milling and baking quality. Custer is adapted throughout Oklahoma.
These results suggest that the performance of Midland 99 relative to standard varieties will be stable over different yield environments. The crude protein concentration in Midland has been generally similar to the concentrations in Coastal, Midland, Hardie, and Tifton 44.
The forage has high moister content, produces plants with have more winter growth, are more erect, and are approximately two weeks earlier than Abruzzi. Elbon is probably best adapted to Southern and Eastern Oklahoma; however, it is receommended throughout the state.
It is a mid-season, six-row, greenbug resistant winter barley developed for the specific purpose of combining the yield potential of Will with the straw strength of Harrison. It is shorter than Will under most growing conditions, has excellent straw strength, and better than average straw quality.
